Christmas dried flower crafts in abundance!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas – I am writing this in the lull between Christmas and New Year, when the house is starting to look untidy, we’ve eaten far too much and the kids are starting to get restless!
Here is a pic of me (left) with my good friend Jo, who works in our dried flowers workshop.
Natural Christmas tree decorations
This year I decorated my tree with natural Christmas decorations such as decorated pine cones, cinnamon bundles and garlands, orange slice decorations, dried flower baubles and naturally scented Christmas bags.
Natural Christmas potpourri
I have been giving away natural Christmas potpourri to friends and family – here is a pic of one of my large displays of it at home this year. I already have plans for a new version for next year, which I hope will be equally popular.
Looking forward to more dried flower crafts for 2014
I have a cupboard full plant material from my garden – both dried flowers and pressed flowers, which I have a some projects planned for. I am hoping to rectify the situation I often find myself in, where I am in danger of spending more of my year drying flowers than using them! I have a couple of makes in mind that might help me get through the long winter evenings without resorting to the TV quite so much.
Happy crafting for the New Year!
Wishing everyone a happy, creative and prosperous 2014.
All the best,
Ruth. x
