This Easter we took our kids to Orlando for a fortnight for the theme parks. So apologies for it being so quiet on the blog – by the time I had spent a week packing and a week catching up, that was April gone!
My favourite park was Disney’s Epcot, which happened to have a flower show on while we were there. I absolutely loved the vibrant planting (see first pic) but wondered if I could get away with something quite so bright at home!
Mickey mouse and all his friends were faithfully reproduced in plants using some kind of creeper.
And because of my business name, I’m a sucker for a daisy photo. These were growing wild on the verges in the Orlando area, and about a foot tall.
On the dried flower project front, I did pick up some blank lockets while I was out there, which will be perfect for a pressed flower necklace.
So watch this space!
