Hi I’m Ruth, and I developed an interest in dried flower crafts soon after starting Daisy Gifts Ltd (formed in 2002). Daisy was initially a general gift shop in the small market town of Hailsham in the South of England. I very soon put my stock on the internet using my first website daisygifts.co.uk and was finding that the dried lavender and natural home fragrance were outselling everything else. It wasn’t long before Daisy Gifts Ltd was internet only, selling exclusively dried flowers and home fragrance products on our internet shop at daisyshop.co.uk.
With all these lovely ingredients to experiment with, I was soon reading up on potpourri making techniques and trying out my own recipes & makes. I am a keen gardener and love natural products so I guess my work & hobbies have merged!
I hope you like this blog and find some of the makes interesting and the tips helpful. Do please leave comments or ask questions!
To find out more about my business, just visit my shop page! I now also have two Etsy shops – for a selected range of dried flowers visit daisyshopuk.etsy.com. My new Etsy project is the shop you can see in the right hand column towards the bottom – the picture of the two mugs is an example of some of the printed gifts we’re selling at photowildflowers.etsy.com. I’ve been taking macro photos for twenty years so have accumulated numerous botanical images that look great on posters, mouse mats, laptop covers, mugs and home decor. So do have a look at my expanding range!
