Choosing confetti petals
I was contacted last spring by the lovely ladies at bespoke-bride.com about wedding confetti petals. They have a great blog with all sorts of wedding tips and were hoping for some advice for their customers. I was happy to send them some samples to try out, and they took some great pics, which you can see below.
Confetti petals selection
We sent four different types of our own exclusive daisyshop dried flower petal confetti, all of which are available to buy buy the litre inside our shop. They all have a different selling point (L-R in pic below): Cornflower Mix contains romantic rose petals; Lavender Confetti smells great; Pastel Petal Confetti Mix contains pale delphinium petals which float in the breeze making for fab pics on the day, and Heather Confetti with Ivory Rosebuds is particularly popular at Scottish weddings.
Benefits of various flower petals
For romance – rose petals every time!
Photos – pale colours and floaty petals such as delphinium and ivory sweety petals.
For colour – we have confetti petals in nearly every shade – choose single colours or mix them up for unique appeal!
For table decorations – table confetti needs to be dust-free and delicate – you could try rose buds and hydrangea florets.
Eco friendly natural confetti
I love the way they displayed our naturally biodegradable confetti in eco friendly cardboard ice-cream tubs and wooden spoons. Natural petal confetti made from real dried flowers is the throwing confetti of choice for most wedding venues as it disappears into the soil very quickly after the big event.
Eye catching confetti pics
Whereas pale petals catch the light, darker colours like those of our jewel-toned Cornflower Mix look luxuriant and contrast nicely against a traditional ivory wedding dress.
